Maternity photography in South-West London
Natural, relaxed photography at home or outdoors, with a thoughtful approach to light, setting and movement
The Experience
Maternity sessions are a chance to slow things down and capture this special time in a simple, honest way. The focus is on natural interaction, light, and feeling comfortable
You don't need to know how to pose or worry about what to do in front of the camera. I'll give you enough direction to feel comfortable, while leaving room for things to happen naturally
Shoots can take place at home or on location, with plenty of space for things to unfold naturally. The result is a set of calm, thoughtful images that feel easy and considered
At Home
There is something particularly personal and meaningful about photographing this stage of pregnancy at home
Familiar surroundings, natural light and the details you've created together become part of the story
Outdoors
Sessions outdoors give us more space to move and make the most of the light
We can choose a location that suits you, from your garden to a local green space
What to expect
Before your session
We'll have a conversation about what you're looking for, where you'd like to shoot and what to wear. I'll help with location and timing if you're unsure
Your session
Sessions are relaxed and unhurried. I'll guide you when needed and we'll work with the light, surroundings and different combinations of settings
Choosing your photographs
After your session, you'll receive a private gallery of your edited images where you can take your time deciding which photographs you'd like to keep
Your images
Your chosen photographs are supplied as high-resolution digital files, with print options also available
What To Wear
There’s no single way to dress for a maternity session. You might prefer something simple and loose that allows you to show your bare bump, or something more fitted but that equally shows your bump. The important thing is that you feel comfortable and like yourself
I’m happy to advise on colours, shapes and what works best for the location and light
Session details and pricing
Sessions are booked with a £300 session fee, which includes pre-shoot planning, the photography session itself, professional editing, and a private online viewing gallery
Digital images and prints products are then chosen separately, with collections starting from £495
Most clients invest between £800 and £1,300 in total, depending on how many images they’d like to keep
Sessions typically last around an hour to an hour and a half but I don’t work to the clock if things need a little longer
Weekend sessions are limited and tend to book in advance
